Video, Audio and Graphics FAQ
Everything that goes into the production besides the camera: clips, music, logos, on-screen text, live web overlays, a teleprompter and background removal. Most of these are part of FeelThere Desktop.
Can I play a video file during a live stream?
Yes, with Video Source in FeelThere Desktop. The clip becomes part of the production rather than something you cue from a separate player.
Intros, outros, sponsor videos, highlights and pre-recorded segments all work this way.
Can I trim a clip before it goes on air?
Yes. You can preview the video, trim to the section you want, and crop, resize and position it as part of the layout.
All of that happens before the clip reaches the audience.
Can a video loop while I talk over it?
Yes. Loop keeps a clip running, which suits background visuals and waiting screens.
Playback controls cover play, pause, stop, restart and seeking along the timeline.
What happens when a clip reaches the end?
You decide. A clip can stop, loop, or be tied to a scene so it starts when that scene becomes active.
Setting this in advance avoids the dead air that follows a clip nobody planned the end of.
Does audio from a video play through the stream?
Yes. When a video carries audio, it is connected to the production audio workflow and can be managed through the mixer with your microphone and other sources.
That means you can balance a clip against your voice rather than discovering it was too loud afterwards.
Can I play music or sound effects during a broadcast?
Yes, with Audio Source in FeelThere Desktop. Music beds, intros, outros, stingers and background audio are added as sources in the production.
Each one can play, pause, loop and run at the speed the segment needs.
How do I control the volume of each audio source?
Every audio source gets its own channel in the Desktop mixer, with gain, mute, a meter and routing to the master mix.
You can hear the audio before it reaches viewers, so levels are set before the segment goes out.
Can I mute one source without muting everything?
Yes. Mute is per channel, so a music bed can be silenced while your microphone stays live.
Independent control is the point of having a mixer rather than a single volume slider.
How do I add my logo to a live stream?
Image Source brings logos, sponsor graphics and branding into the scene. Position, resize, crop, layer and lock each image where you want it.
Image sources work in FeelThere Studio in the browser as well as in Desktop.
Can I show a sponsor graphic for part of the show?
Yes. An image can be shown or hidden without being removed, so a sponsor appears for a segment and then steps aside.
Placement and settings are stored with the production for the next broadcast.
How do I put names and titles on screen?
Text Source creates titles, names, lower thirds and announcements inside the production, with control over font, colour, alignment, spacing, background, outline and shadow.
No separate graphics application and no exporting images for every name.
Can I change on-screen text while I am live?
Yes. Text is a source in the production, so it can be edited, shown and hidden during the broadcast.
That covers a guest name changing or an announcement that only applies to one segment.
What is a web overlay?
A live web page composited into your production as a visual layer. Because the page stays active, anything dynamic on it keeps updating while you broadcast.
Web Overlay is part of FeelThere Desktop.
Can I show a live scoreboard or a countdown?
Yes. Scoreboards, countdown timers, statistics, tickers, alerts and other browser-based graphics are exactly what web overlays are for.
The data updates in real time because the page behind it is still running.
Do web overlays support transparent backgrounds?
Yes. Overlays composite over the production with transparency, so a lower third or an alert sits on top of the picture instead of covering it with a box.
Layers can be reordered, hidden, locked and included inside scenes.
Can I reuse overlays I built for another tool?
If you already use browser-based overlays elsewhere, compatible overlay URLs can be brought into FeelThere Desktop as part of the production.
Your overlay setup is preserved with the configuration, so a recurring show does not start from nothing.
How do I read a script without looking away from the camera?
The built-in teleprompter keeps the script in front of you while you broadcast, with control over speed, size and mirroring.
It is part of the production rather than a separate application sitting beside it.
Can the teleprompter run on a second screen?
Yes. A second-screen output means the script can sit on a display near the camera while the production workspace stays on your main monitor.
That keeps your eyeline closer to the lens.
Can I remove my background without a green screen?
Chroma Key works best against an evenly lit green or blue background. Without one, results depend heavily on the room and the lighting.
Visual filters can also adjust colour, sharpness and overall look before the picture reaches the audience.
How do I set up chroma key for a green screen?
Light the backdrop evenly, stand far enough from it to avoid spill onto your shoulders, then apply Chroma Key to the camera source and adjust until the edges look clean.
Check the result in Preview and send it to Program once it holds up.
