Multistreaming From a Computer FAQ
Two ways to broadcast from a computer: install FeelThere Desktop on Windows, or open FeelThere Studio in a browser tab. These answers cover what each one needs, what it can reach, and which to pick.
How do I multistream from a computer?
Build the production on the computer, connect the platforms you want to reach, and go live once. FeelThere sends a single feed to the cloud and the cloud delivers a copy to every destination you connected.
You can do this two ways. FeelThere Desktop is software you install on Windows and gives you the fuller production workspace. FeelThere Studio runs in a browser tab with nothing to install.
What is the difference between FeelThere Desktop and FeelThere Studio?
Desktop is installed Windows software with the full production workspace: several cameras, multiple screen shares, scenes, Preview and Program, an audio mixer, video playback, a teleprompter and web overlays.
Studio runs in the browser and covers camera, screen sharing, guests, recording, images and on-screen text. Sources that need a local media file, such as video and audio, and web overlays are part of Desktop.
Do I need to install anything to stream from a computer?
No. FeelThere Studio opens in a supported browser, so you can sign in and start building a production without downloading anything.
Install FeelThere Desktop when the show needs more than the browser covers, such as several cameras, scenes with Preview and Program, or video and audio playback.
What does FeelThere Desktop need to run?
FeelThere Desktop is Windows software. Download it, sign in with the account that holds your connected destinations, and the production workspace opens.
Producing a live broadcast is more demanding than everyday use, so a machine that handles video work comfortably will give you more room as you add cameras and sources.
Can I multistream from a Mac?
FeelThere Desktop is built for Windows. On a Mac, use FeelThere Studio in a supported browser instead.
Studio covers camera, screen sharing, guests and recording, and reaches the same destinations through the same cloud distribution.
How many platforms can one computer reach at once?
Up to 8 destinations at the same time, depending on your plan. The computer sends one feed and the cloud handles the copies.
That is why adding a platform does not ask more of your machine or your upload connection.
Does multistreaming from a computer use more upload bandwidth?
No. Your computer uploads a single stream regardless of how many destinations you connected. FeelThere distributes the copies from the cloud.
Without that, every extra platform would mean another full upload from the same connection.
What upload speed do I need?
Enough for one stable stream at the quality you want to send, with headroom for the rest of what the connection is doing.
The bandwidth calculator gives you a figure for your resolution and frame rate rather than a general rule.
Can I send 1080p to every destination at the same time?
FeelThere supports up to Full HD 1080p. Each platform then applies its own processing and may deliver different quality to viewers depending on their connection.
Some destinations also have their own limits on resolution or frame rate for certain account types.
Should I produce in the browser or install the desktop software?
Start in the browser if the show is you, maybe a guest, and a screen. Nothing to install and nothing tied to one machine.
Install Desktop when you need several cameras, scenes you move between, a real audio mixer, video playback or overlays. The two use the same account and the same destinations.
Can I start on my phone and finish on a computer?
The destinations you connect belong to your account rather than to one device, so they are available wherever you sign in.
A single broadcast runs from the surface that started it, but your next one can start anywhere.
How hard does my computer work while the stream runs?
The production itself is the demanding part: cameras, screen captures, video playback and overlays all have to be composed in real time.
Distribution is not. One feed leaves the machine no matter how many destinations are connected, so the number of platforms does not add load.
What happens to the broadcast if my computer drops offline?
The feed to the cloud stops, so the destinations stop receiving it. Reconnect and you can resume the broadcast.
Stream monitoring shows the state of the output while you work, so a problem is visible before viewers tell you about it.
Can I add a destination after the broadcast has started?
Yes. Destinations can be managed while the broadcast is already live, so a platform you forgot does not mean restarting the show.
Each platform still applies its own eligibility rules at the moment you connect it.
Can I keep using OBS instead of replacing it?
Yes. Point OBS at the FeelThere server URL and stream key, and the feed you already built there becomes the source FeelThere distributes.
Your scenes, cameras and audio setup stay where they are. FeelThere handles the reach.
Do I still need a stream key for every platform?
For platforms with a direct integration, connecting the account is enough. For anything else, a custom RTMP destination takes the server URL and stream key the platform gives you.
That keeps the door open to platforms without a built-in connection.
Can two people run the same production from different computers?
The production runs on the machine that is producing it. What travels is the guest link: you invite someone and they join from their own browser without installing anything.
That covers a remote co-host or a contributor without handing over the production itself.
Does the desktop software record while it streams?
Recording runs alongside the broadcast where it is supported, so the session is available afterwards without a second pass.
That is what turns one live show into clips, highlights and re-uploads.
Which platforms can a computer broadcast reach?
Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitch, Kick and compatible custom RTMP destinations. Instagram and TikTok can be connected when the account provides compatible third-party streaming credentials.
Every platform controls its own live eligibility and permissions, and FeelThere cannot work around those.
Is there a limit on how long a broadcast can run?
FeelThere does not cut a broadcast at a fixed length, but the destinations you are streaming to each apply their own session rules.
For a long show, check the limits of the platform you care about most before you plan around them.
